Off-the-Shelf Software

We can advise on which products to use in order to solve a business problem.  Once selected then we can purchase, install, configure and support the chosen applications.

Customisation of off-the-shelf products is also possible and this enables for a product that fulfils the majority of the requirements to be better integrated into your business; enabling you to work how you want to, rather than having software dictate working practices.

The software products we can supply/advise on include (but are not solely limited to):

• Platform; the core operating system hosting applications and services running on the computer.
• Server software; computer programmes installed and executed either with or without a user request (includes mail servers, databases, Internet, Intranet, proxies etc.).
• Application software; computer programmes installed and executed on the computer generally at a users request.
• Security software; programmes that ensure confidential data remains that way (includes antivirus, spam filters, proxies etc.)
• Utility software; programmes that fall outside of the above categories (includes backup software, disk defragmentation etc.)
